Following the success of last year’s Forest of Imagination event and Wayne’s involvement as a trustee of 5x5x5=-creativity, we are again able to offer support for this inspiring project. Last year we worked closely with the talented students at Bath Spa University’s Bath School of Art & Design to co-create a brand identity and website, as well crafting the tone of voice to be used in the social media campaign by BSU Publishing students. The 2014 identity conveyed elements of mystery, playfulness and imagination.
Designed by Grant Associates and curated by Penny Hay and Lucy Loveday, Forest of Imagination proved to be a ‘gallery without walls’, inviting creative practitioners to transform unexpected spaces into places for creative exchange. Using a multi-disciplinary approach, it provided visitors with an imaginative, immersive and participatory space to experience and engage with the contemporary arts. Initially launched through Kickstarter (the online crowd-funding platform) to secure initial funds for the installation and supported by the RSA, the event grew from conversations about the need for a permanent contemporary arts space in Bath and was the first RSA project to reach its crowd-funded target.
2014 Sponsors included:
RSA, Herman Miller Cares, Grant Associates, 5x5x5=creativity, Arts Council England, Bath Spa University, B&NES, Wyevale Nurseries, and Ideas of the Mind.
NEWSFLASH: Forest of Imagination 2015 takes place on 15–18 May. More news to follow…
